Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Intern at Optimum Info will be responsible for ensuring the functional quality of our software products by test scenarios, suites, test cases and executing the tests. You will also maintain automated tests and conform to established guidelines for new and existing software systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the assigned software products and features
  • Prepare and maintain test plans for assigned product line
  • Test software for feature functionality with a goal of zero defects on production
  • Work with utility programs to test, track, and verify defects in software programs
  • Monitor program release cycles and monitors implementation to prevent impact or errors to

  • Track and report quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status
  • Collaborate with other teams (e.g., engineer team, developers, account managers) for continuous quality improvement initiatives

Desired qualifications and experience

  • Pursuing computer science / software engineering or equivalent major
  • Completion of at least 2 years of undergraduate studies before start of internship
  • Familiarity with software deployment process.
  • Experience in functional testing of software preferred.
  • Experience in functional testing of software preferred.
  • Commitment: Must be available to work 10-15 hours per week, M-F for 20-24 weeks.
