Business Financial Analyst

Overview

The Business / Financial Analyst will assume responsibilities and work as a liaison with Optimum’s automotive clients helping them implement and manage our Business Management system. The Financial Analysis will also coordinate with the Optimum development and support team to ensure that customer’s needs are addressed effectively and in a timely fashion.

The Business / Financial Analyst will work closely with the customers to help them effectively use Optimum’s Business Management system. This will include providing guidance on various tools and features of the system, generating analytical reports, analyzing dealer performance and coordinating with dealers directly with the goal of improving dealership profitability.

Job Duties

  • Work closely with Optimum’s Business Management customers to help them effectively utilize the system.
  • Provide consistent training and guidance on various application features & tools.
  • Review the quality and consistency of financial statements received from dealerships.
  • Follow-up with dealerships to continually improve the quality of submissions.
  • Work with customers for dealer performance analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Provide periodic online trainings to dealers and other users of the system.
  • Support customers in development of ad-hoc performance and financial reports.
  • Review and manage the month-end composite calculations.

Other Functions

  • Provide training to customers on how to best utilize our systems.
  • Coordinate with the development team on any new system functionality.
  • Test new features and reports before deployment on the system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or related areas.
  • 3-5 years of Financial Analyst experience.
  • Experience interacting with external customers will be beneficial.
  • Automotive industry experience.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office tools like MS Excel and MS Project.
  • Job location is in Toronto region, Canada.
  • Must be competent in both English and French language (both reading and writing skills).
  • Should have the ability to work independently / remotely.
